Memorial Day Fun with Pawpaw, Gigi and Uncle Eric

This Memorial Day weekend my parents came up to spend some time with all of us.  They came up Saturday morning and left Tuesday morning.  Nathan and Ryan enjoyed all the time they got to spend with Gigi and Pawpaw!  Nathan loved having Pawpaw read him books before bed and Ryan loved all the snuggles he got from Gigi!  Both boys loved all the fun they had with Uncle Eric too!  The weekend was filled with lots of fun playing outside, picking dewberries, BBQ'ing, making jelly, going to the park, fishing, and my dad even got roped into helping Jason in the yard.  We had a great time and are so thankful we got to enjoy a wonderful weekend with them!

After they got to our house Saturday morning, we all ate lunch and then Nathan and Pawpaw had to try out Nathan's new toy!  I'm not sure who had more fun in the sprinkler -- Nathan or Pawpaw?!

In this picture, Nathan was running his fire truck into the lawn mower and causing a wreck!  Nathan then told Pawpaw he had to call the police because he had a wreck so that's what my dad was doing!  Nathan then just giggled!  They kept this up for a good 15 minutes!

Monday we spent the late morning/early afternoon at the park fishing!

We had a great time!  While my parents were here - they also helped me pick lots of dewberries in the empty lot next to our house.  On Monday my mom and I made our first attempt at dewberry jelly and thankfully I can say it was a success!  I'll post a separate post about that!

Can't wait till we go down to Houston in July for lots more fun!
