Ryan is 4 months old!

Ryan, you are 4 months old!  I can't believe how fast the past four months have flow by.  You are developing so much of a little personality now and I LOVE it!  You had your 4 month appointment this morning and got one oral vaccine and 3 shot vaccines. Your stats at 4 months are:

Weight -13 lb 2 oz (14%)  --- Nathan was14 lbs .5oz
Height - 25.5 in (68%) --- Nathan was also 25.5
HC - 16 in (11%) --- Nathan was16.97

You have just switched to size 2 diapers

Still wearing mostly 3 month outfits.  You can still fit into some 0-3 mos and are starting to wear some 3-6 mos.
Have mostly gotten rid of your eczcema.  We till put lots of lotion on your twice a day and wash you with special wash at night.

Still taking your reflux medicine in the mornings.  Your Dr. said we can try to start weaning you of this around 6 mos.
The Dr says your torticollis is doing a lot better!  Your starting to hold your head up more in the center!  Hopefully we get good news at the Specialist on the 31st!

Eat on average every 3 hours. You normally eat between 32-35 oz in a day.  You'd rather have a lot of smaller bottles than less bigger ones.  I'm hoping you start to like cereal soon... I'm so excited to see how you like fruits and veggies and how the ones you like compare to Nathan's favorites!

Officially got the go-ahead for cereal, fruits and veggies and even stage 1 meats to start trying over the next two months!
LOVE brother.  You love playing on your tummy and just watching him - you will do this for at least 30 minutes. (Yes - Nathan just got finished crying (ok screaming) because he couldn't be in Ryan's 4 mo photos when HE wanted to be)
Take 2 - sometimes 3 - naps a day.  You normally take a 1.5-2 hour nap in the morning; sometimes a 30 min nap around lunchtime and then a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon.  You are starting to hate being rocked when you are sleepy.  You'd rather have me swaddle you, put you in your crib, turn on your glowworm, fuss for about 5 minutes and then go to sleep on your own.  You are sooo much different than Nathan where the only way to get him to sleep was to rock him.

You are sleeping alright throughout the night.  You normally go down around 8:15 and sleep till about 7 am.  Sometimes you go the entire night without waking up, sometimes you wake up A LOT but go back to sleep when we turn your glowworm on and other nights you have to have a feeding around 4am.  So - no pattern whatsoever!
LOVE putting things in your mouth and are always grabbing at anything you can find to put in there.  Your favorite toy right now is your rings - you have to have them EVERYWHERE: your playmat, exercauser, carseat....bascially wherever you are at.  (Note in point - they are in most of these pictures!)

Love looking at and smiling at yourself in the mirror

Love watching TV....you love it when Nathan gets his TV time allowance each day. I know this is probably bad but we usually position you to where you  have to turn to your left to watch which helps with your torticollis.

LOVE to "talk" and laugh at mommy - mainly when I'm changing you or talking to you.  Lately everytime I lay you on your changing pad you just start talking up a storm!

Are getting a LOT better and more interested in tummy time.  You can now go at least 30 min (usually more) at each tummy time setting.

You are getting a lot better about rolling from your tummy to your back.  You now do it at least once a day.  Still not interested in rolling from your back to tummy though...in fact whenever we do put you on your back - you scream till you are back on your tummy!  Go figure!

Getting better each day about sitting up on your own.

Perhaps I take too many pictures of my boys....... I was taking pictures of Ryan and Nathan just HAD to take some too on his camera and refused to be in any with Ryan this morning.

And this is my favorite picture of Ryan.  We took it at the park a few weeks ago but I LOVE how it brings out his blue eyes!

I can really tell how much Ryan has matured in just the past week.  We all love him so much and can't wait to see what this month brings!
