RELAXING Weekend

For the most part, people that know me, "relaxed" is not a word they would use to describe me.  I'm always working on my never-ending "to-do" list, cleaning the house, etc.  I usually don't sit down in the evenings until like 10.  This weekend I was just done.  I just really needed a weekend away from daily life and stress.  Thankfully Nana and Granddad let us enjoy a weekend out at their house.  We went out to their house Saturday before lunch, spent the night and left about 3 on Sunday.  When we got there Saturday the boys had to dodge a few rain showers most of the afternoon.  They would swim for a while, have to get out when a rain shower came, got back in after, etc for most of the afternoon.  Finally after about 5, the rain was all done and we enjoyed a few hours of uninterrupted pool time before dinner.  After dinner the boys wanted to go fishing.  I'm not sure if it was all the rain or what but over the course of about 45 minutes, we caught 8+ fish between Nathan and Ryan.  After about the 5th fish, Ryan finally decided to try to touch one.  Sunday morning we got in the pool about 9 and then played until about 1 when the scattered rain showers started to show up.  Aunt EJ and Craig came out and hung out both Saturday and Sunday for a while as well.

Overall, both boys had a fabulous time swimming and fishing.  Jason and I also enjoyed some time away and a few yummy drinks ;)

Because dogs have to swim if the boys get to of course!

The rain WOULD NOT spoil my day or weekend with one of these :)

Sweet boys!

My future brother-in-law is a pretty awesome bartender ;)

1st of many fish!

He was still scared to touch them at this point.

Nathan loves touching them..

Getting braver

Ryan was NOT scared to play with the worms on the other hand....  Mommy wouldn't touch them with a  10 ft pole..

Nathan the fisher...

He finally held one :)

He was so proud of himself!

The best way to start the week on Sunday morning...

All jumping in with Daddy

Nathan the swimmer

Ryan loved jumped in the pool all weekend

What are brothers good for?  To create a game of pulling each other on the surfboard.  Kept them entertained for about 15 minutes..

Sweet boys...

Silly boys
