9 months!

Ryan, you are 9 months old!  In just a few words you are:  super cute, super fast and into everything.

At 9 months, Ryan is:

Weight -18 lb 2 oz (14%)

Height - 27.75 in (33%) 

HC - 17.5 in (26%) 

You had a great Dr. appointment today!  You didn't have to have any shots today but had to have your finger pricked to test your iron levels.  You DID.NOT.LIKE.IT.  You screamed the entire time.

Wearing size 3 diapers. 

 

Wearing mostly 6-9 months clothes.  I have been putting you in some 9 months clothes though and then fit nicely.

Eat on average 20-24 oz of formula a day split between 5 bottles.  (One when you wake up, one after your morning nap; one right before afternoon nap, one before dinner and another right before bed)

You eat solids 3 times a day.  We are starting to transition you to some table food.  I normally feed you about 3 cubes of baby food at each meal and then give you some pieces of what we are having.  So far:  new foods you have tired are: biscuits, waffles, shredded cheese, Gerber meat sticks, yogurt melts, cooked mixed vegetables, spaghetti, rice, potatoes and I'm sure others I can't remember.  So far you are doing really well.  You can't seem to get the food in fast enough and about 80% makes it in your mouth the first time!  Most of the time, I think you eat more than Nathan at meals.

 You are still taking 2 naps a day (about 1.5 - 2 .5 hours each).  

 

You seem to have gone back to your normal sleeping in the past month since being sick.  You normally go down around 8:00 and sleep till about 6:30/7:00 am. 

Will sometimes wave "hi"/"bye" - usually at random people we see in stores and never ever on cue!

STIILLLLLLL no teeth....but drooling like crazy.... maybe one day.... I asked the Dr. and she said she wasn't worried.

FINALLY crawling!!  Exactly a week before you turned 9 months old, you decided to crawl.  In one week you have mastered it!  You can now crawl across a room in no time flat, can get into a sitting position from your tummy.  You are also now pulling up on EVERYTHING.  I will put you in the middle of the room on your play blanket and you will crawl to a piece of furniture and pull yourself up in like 2 minutes.

In this picture you were sitting on the floor, pulled yourself up on the box and then pulled yourself up to the table...
