Photos Can Be Deceiving.....

Okay - lets not let the title be deceiving now either....  We did have a GREAT weekend!  However, 5,10 years from now, I don't want to be looking back at this scrapbook and think "Wow! my boys never fought and were always happy!"  They ARE happy boys but the fighting....well...lets just say that as Ryan is getting older and getting more of a personality, an independent nature and becoming more strong-willed....it doesn't always mesh well with a very strong willed brother and mommy!  This weekend was one of those weekends where we did have a great weekend...but the boys definitely tested our patience every other minute.  Half the time they were fighting, throwing fits, hitting each other, telling mommy and daddy "NO" and the other half they were sweet lovable little boys.  One minute Jason and I would be about to pull our hair out and they other one or both boys would do something so sweet you just couldn't be THAT mad anymore.  :)  Lets face it...nobody takes pictures of the "bad" moments.  However, I don't want to forget that they did happen.  Below are some of the pictures were the boys were on their best behavior....usually about 1/2 minute before a fight occurred...

Daddy and Nathan fishing at the park Friday night (fight later occurred when Nathan didn't want to leave)

After I finished pushing Ryan in the stroller around the park for a while - he had fun watching dad and Nathan fish (fight later occurred when I wouldn't let Ryan walk into the water)

This just melts my heart

Casting like a big boy!

This picture says it all....sweet but yet sly

Wrestling with Daddy (fight occurred when Nathan decided to throw a ball at Daddy's face)

Changing Meemo's water

Poor Sassy Belle also got to witness crazy boys.  We watched Sassy while Nana and Granddad went to Dallas to see George Strait's last show for their anniversary (Um...slightly jealous?!)  Anyhow, the boys LOVE Sassy.  They loved her, hugged her, worried when they didn't know exactly where they were BUT poor Sassy Belle was probably climbed on and stepped on more in the past 2 days then the past 2 months. They randomly hugged her and kissed her ALL weekend!

Loving on Sassy Belle....when they weren't climbing all over her

Being sweet before church (needless to say we fought all the way to church..)

RARE moment where Ryan hugged and loved Nathan and let Nathan hug him back for a good 1/2 minute (lets just say Ryan does NOT like brother hugging him on a normal day!)

Remember...just because you see all these "perfect", happy pictures of kids and families...it doesn't always mean they are "perfect"....(or that you are a bad mother because your kids don't act like that)..it just means they choose to remember the happy times...not the screaming times!  And I know a lot of you feel how I do!
