18 months!!

Ryan turned 18 months old yesterday!  

At 18 months Ryan,

• is VERY strong-willed, stubborn, sweet, loving, and fussy all rolled into one sweet wonderful boy!
• Weighs around 23-24 lbs (only about 5 less than Nathan)
• mostly wearing size 5 diapers
• wearing size 5 shoes
• wearing mostly 18 mo clothes.  I have all of Nathan's old 18 mo spring/summer shorts, but I'm afraid that if Spring doesn't hurry, Ryan will be wearing the same size as Nathan :
• Sleeps from about 7:30 pm - 6:45 am most days
• has a TEMPER!  He will throw toys when he is not happy, hit Nathan when he is not happy with Nathan and will literally throw himself on the floor when he doesn't get what he wants. He has definitely learned to defend himself!
• Can say the following:  mama, Dada, bye-bye, uh-oh, fire, hot, ball, up, car, dog, bear, night-night, granddad, Nana, banana, tickle-tickle-tickle, more, all done, paw-paw and many more I'm sure.
• Only has 8 teeth... 4 middle on top, 2 middle on bottom, 1 molar on top and 1 molar on right.  We have his first dentist appointment next week so hopefully we can see what is going on with his teeth!
• Can follow most all one task directions and sometimes two tasks.
• Has dropped the bottle and drinks only from a sippy
• knows the following body parts:  head, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, arms, hands, tummy, legs, feet
• can match the shapes of a circle, square, triangle, rectangle and diamond in their right places on a puzzle
• are NOT a morning person!  You are pretty grumpy in the mornings and when waking up from a nap
• MUST eat a banana everyday for breakfast........or he will throw a MAJOR fit.
• Loves to read books.  He has 2 "go-to" books he loves and will bring them to me all day long to read.  They are "Rags" and "Where's Spot"
• can "color" pretty well - but looses interest really quickly
• Eat with a spoon really well at school and Nana's...pretty much everywhere but at home! 

Oh sweet baby boy, I love you so much!!  I can't imagine what the next 6 months will bring :)
