We left Saturday around lunchtime and stated until Monday afternoon. Check-in started at 4pm but I wanted to go to Grapevine Mills to get the boys some new shoes so we left about 1pm on Saturday and went to the mall first. We got to GWL a little after 4, got checked in to our room and made a plan for the evening. We went down to the water park about 5pm and swam until almost 7. The indoor water park got a little cold after a while so we went outside thinking we could warm up. Well, that was the day all sort of record lows were being set and it was actually colder OUTSIDE that INSIDE...in the middle of JULY.. Crazy! Once we were done swimming we ordered pizza to take to our room, ate, gave the boys a bath and took them to "Storytime" on the main lobby. At about 8:15, all the kids to gather together and they would read a book with Wiley the Wolf and Violet - the boys loved it! We ended up going to bed about 9 pm. Since we were all in one room and it was dark for the boys, I think I feel asleep by 10.
Saturday morning we woke up about 5:45 (thanks to Ryan) but thankfully the boys were entertained by Mickey Mouse and Jake on the TV for a while. We ate breakfast in the room and went down a little after 9am to the water-park. That morning Nathan had a blast! He loved riding the "big" slides and Ryan turned into our little daredevil and started riding the bigger slide in the baby section. Nathan also really like playing in the wave pool with Daddy. Saturday morning we swam from about 9-12, ordered lunch and took it to our room and put the boys down for nap. Again, the room was dark so I took a nap while the boys did and Jason played on the ipad. After nap (about 3:30), our friends had gotten there so we went down and hung out by the pool and in the water park with them till about 6:30pm. We then went up and showered and all met for supper about 7:30.
Sunday morning check-out was at 11 so we were up early again thanks to Ryan (like 5:30) so we ate breakfast and went down to the arcade about 8:15. The boys had a blast playing games and we bought the worlds most expensive slinky with our winnings! We went into the waterpark about 9:15 and swam some more. Thankfully our friends let us store our luggage in their room while we hung out a while longer since we had to check out. We ended up swimming until about 11:30, all ate lunch together and we left about 2.
All in all, we had a GREAT weekend and can't wait to go back! Here's some pictures from our trip.. I'm sorry they are not in order but I'm too tired and it's too late.
