First on the agenda in his room was to install a ceiling fan. Yes, we have lived in our house almost three years, have actually had the fan just sitting in the closet and we have only just installed it two weeks ago. Many thanks to our neighbor who helped Jason install the fan because there was no way just me and Jason would have been able to install the fan!! Next on the agenda was to paint the room. Talk about decisions......should it be blue for boys, or should we go more neutral....etc. Then once you figure out a color there's about a bagillion shades of that color.......any sane person could go insane in any paint store. Lucky for us, one of the two colors we choice on our first try matched. The lucky color selection was Golden Fleece. For those of of you going "what?"....it's a light yellowish/goldenish color. My parents and grandfather were then nice enough to come and help us paint last weekend. The furniture also came in last weekend so for now, it's just all crammed in his room. Since the crib was the only thing that did not come assembled its pieces are now laying throughout his room.... Hopefully I can convince Jason to put it together Memorial Day weekend... In the meantime, here's a few pictures of the progress to date.....
I also started painting the letters for his name that will hang above his bed. Here's a little preview. And for everybody out there that does not know his name yet, "A" is NOT the first letter of his name...it's just a letter in it...

Everything looks so good! I hope you are enjoying every minute of the preparation! It is so much fun!
